Many people know the Mexican Police force isn't the most honest...in fact they're questionable, according to one local resident. But some people are trying to change that. On day five Juan Manuel gave us a speech on Mexican police. He calls himself an "illusionist", but I would say he's a visionary.

He's inspired some communities in Mexico to create their own police force. They look after everyone in the community...and even fight against the state and federal policed forces. Community police have actually arrested federal police along with actual criminals.

It's all to protect the people of the communities from the corrupt Mexican police force. The community officers aren't payed much, but they're taken care of by the communities they work and live in.

It's a fascinating concept that stems from the teachings of neighbourly love.
